About Heather Anthony

Born and raised in Alaska, Heather Anthony was instilled with a profound connection to the healing power of nature. Finding herself constantly intrigued by the concepts of life and death, health and disease, and the mind-body-spirit connection, she began her formal studies in 2001. After teaching Yoga in Anchorage for several years, Heather moved to sunnier skies to attend the California College of Ayurveda. With extensive education and clinical training from Dr. Marc Halpern and staff, she graduated from CCA in 2012. During this time, she performed as a lead therapist in the college's Pancha Karma Clinic, and also managed the herbal department at Shaktiveda under the guidance of Dr. Mary Jo Cravatta. In 2013, she began her Ayurveda practice out of the office of Dr. Jeffrey Kauffman. A year later, Revive Ayurveda was born with a mission to serve others in their quest for increasing health and vitality. Heather since then has studied with world-renowned Dr. Vasant Lad and Dr. Sarita Shrestha.  Heather uses vast clinical and personal experience combined with compassionate care to help empower women to heal naturally and to embrace their lives more fully.

In a time when people seem to be searching for external solutions to their health concerns, Heather has answered her calling to teach others how to turn inward for healing and prevention. Her constant drive to offer alternative medicine can be traced to two pivotal life experiences. The first was her brother Michael's three-year battle with cancer. Despite chemotherapy, radiation and a stem cell transplant, he passed away in 2005. The second pivotal experience was when her father, Tony, suffered a massive stroke that nearly ended his life less than a year after her brother's death. Through tragedy and trauma, Heather recognized a common theme in both cases: the medical staff rarely--if at all--emphasized the importance of nutrition, exercise and the power of the mind. In her heart, she felt something crucial was missing from today's health care. It was then that Heather decided to make it her life's mission to join the forces of preventative and natural medicine, and to share her knowledge and passion to create a healthier, happier world.

In her free time, Heather enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, riding her bike, walking, cooking, traveling, furthering her education, and spending time with her loved ones.
